I love all animals -- they are the innocents in this world. I've grown particularly fond of ferrets since a search for a small pet led me to them. Today I couldn't tell you whether ferrets, horses or dogs (Great Danes, who think they are lap dogs) are my greatest favorites.
Right now, Gimli, Cinnamon, Snowy and Poppy are my business associates. They are all GCFA adoptees.
Gimli (hooded, long, dark and handsome) is the CEO. Cinnamon is all the warm grey colors of weathered wood. Snowy, sometimes known as the White Lady, Galadriel, has a distinct personality to go with her flaming ruby eyes, and I respect her for that. Since she returns the respect, we get along fine. Poppy is the newbie, a very looooong sable with more of a veil than a hood. I picked her up from and AC and we never made it to the shelter. She had been neglected and crawled into my heart, with all the others.
In Memorium
Donner and Blitzen were the first fuzzies. They taught me what clever, fascinating, intelligent creatures they were, and never failed to bring a smile when they outwitted my efforts to contain them. Ginny (DEW) came next. I was "just looking" at some cuties and she, well, she kept climing all over me and finally climbed inside my sweater so I just had to bring her home. Sammi (GCFA) came to me for her forever home and only stayed about a year, but it was a good year. Moose (GCFA) was just unbelievable, as goofy as a Great Dane.
They are all living in my heart now.
